Which is thicker? The 5/2 is thicker: 848m per 200g cone, sett at 15–20 epi. The 10/2 is finer: 1696m per cone, sett at 20–28 epi. Looking for patterns like the ones pictured? The Ashford Book of Weaving Patterns from Four to Eight Shafts is full of them.

Right Material for the Job…
These cottons are absolutely beautiful to work with. They have just the right amount of lustre to really enhance fine weaving patterns and the large range of colours complement each other so well. The strength of this cotton is excellent making it perfect for warping. Your woven pieces will have good drape, last well wash after wash and most of all feel lovely to wear. Machine wash, hot iron, do not bleach.
Refer to your project pattern to determine how much cotton you will need to complete your project. It is always better to get a little more than you need especially when sampling or if you get a tad over-zealous with your beating; don’t worry, we have all been there!
