The Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom is affordable, portable and wonderfully versatile. It's quick to warp, easy to weave on and simple to assemble, a lovely first loom that will grow with you.

Weave scarves, garments, homewares, tapestries and wall hangings. Play with colour and texture, or use pick-up sticks to create beautiful patterns. Made from Silver Beech hardwood, it's strong and built to last.

Rigid Heddle Loom or SampleIt Loom?
The Rigid Heddle Loom is larger and sturdier, and you can add a Freedom Roller and stand later. The SampleIt Loom is smaller and lighter, ideal for sampling and classes. Both have the second heddle option built in.

Good to know
Can I weave narrow projects on a wide loom? Absolutely. Just warp the width you need, or weave two scarves side by side. With the built-in second heddle and a second reed matching your first, you can even weave cloth twice the width of your loom (120cm on a 60cm loom), and it opens out when it comes off. Weaving fine yarns? Reeds go from 2.5dpi for chunky yarn up to 12.5 and 15dpi for fine cottons and silk. Rigid Heddle or Knitters Loom? Both weave exactly the same way. The Knitters Loom comes assembled and lacquered, folds with your weaving still on it, and includes a carry bag. The Rigid Heddle needs assembling and finishing, but you can add the Freedom Roller and table stand, which don't fit the Knitters Loom. Stands are sold separately.
